Who We Are
Mark S. Hayes – President & CEO
Mark is an original Partner in the agency; having founded it in 2008 with his sister Candace Hayes. She was in the construction staffing business for over 17 years. Unfortunately, Candace passed away in 2015. Mark originally started his career in advertising and owned his own B2B agency. Eventually switching careers, he has now been in the staffing business almost 20 years.
Construction Trades Staffing celebrated its 10th anniversary in December of 2018.
In addition to being involved in leadership positions in numerous business and civic organizations; family is his proudest accomplishment. He and his wife Barbara raised three children in Orchard Park and currently enjoy five grandchildren.
Scott Hayes – Vice President of Human Resources
Prior to joining the team, Scott served in the United States Army being stationed around the world and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2009. After the military, he obtained his associates degree from Bryant and Stratton College. Scott has been with the company since 2013, working his way up and learning all aspects of the company from sales and recruitment to billing and payroll. Scott can handle all functions of the business and help in any capacity with the needs of clients and recruits.
Leta Jones – Sales and Recruitment Manager.
Leta has 30 plus years of experience in the staffing industry focusing on sales and recruitment for manufacturing and construction companies. She has a degree in Business Administration, was a previous president of the New York State Staffing Association, Buffalo Chapter, and is member of NISA. She is leading the recruitment team in serving clients with the utmost integrity and ethics.
Patrick McCarthy – Sales and Recruiting Coordinator
With nearly 25 years of extensive experience in executive search and recruitment, Pat previously worked as a Corporate Recruiter for Kaleida Health and managed the WNY Area for Kelly Engineering. A University of Buffalo graduate, Patrick brings broad-based expertise as an account manager and recruiter.
Barb M. Hayes – Office Manager
Barb has been there since the beginning as an integral part of the business and has helped build CTS every step of the way. She has worked with husband Mark to provide support in every part of the business from administrative duties to bookkeeping to human resources.
In addition to devoting time the last 10 years to help run the staffing business; Barb was also a partner in the ad agency business with Mark. During this whole time, she found time to run her own Daycare for over 30 years.
